A Black And White Explosion
You keep me in a constant state
Of lingering,
Of never knowing,
Of only hoping.
And my brain keeps spitting out
Those "what-if" scenarios
That fester like a heart wound,
Deep inside.
I woke up today wondering
If I was alive
Or just breathing.
I'll fall asleep tonight
Pretending there is meaning
Behind this madness.
A black and white explosion
Blurs the lines of
Misinterpreted emotions.
I will find no answers here
Today.
Of lingering,
Of never knowing,
Of only hoping.
And my brain keeps spitting out
Those "what-if" scenarios
That fester like a heart wound,
Deep inside.
I woke up today wondering
If I was alive
Or just breathing.
I'll fall asleep tonight
Pretending there is meaning
Behind this madness.
A black and white explosion

Misinterpreted emotions.
