More Than Can Be Known
A saddened girl,
Curled up on the floor.
A tear streamed face mumbles
"I can't take anymore."
She wipes her eyes,
Stares at their bed,
And realizes
For once there's truth in what he said.
He's not coming home.
Yes, yes she knows he must go,
But it still scares her,
Being all alone.
Time will go one and she'll still be missing him,
More than he will ever know.
Roaming the streets alone,
Thinking of ways to make him come home.
A useless chase,
For a warm embrace.
They had a love that was so beautiful.
She always thought it was a miracle.
Now her mind is swimming,
And her head is spinning.
Yes, yes she knows he had to go,
But it still scares her,
Being all alone.
Time will go one and she'll still be missing him,
More than he will ever know.
If she were to leave everything to be with him,
Would he make it a fair exchange?
Would he go to be with her,
And be her everything?
He never wanted to leave her,
Lead her on or decieve her.
They had a love as strong as death.
A love that would not, could not, be put to rest.
Never ending,
There's no use in pretending.
It's still there,
It will always go on,
He still cares,
He's cared all along.
Yes, yes he knows he was the one to go,
But it scares him,
Knowing she is all alone.
Time will go one and he'll still be worrying,
More than she will ever know.
She hears the angels speak,
And tries to drown them out.
"Please, love me." she cries.
"Because I love you... more than anything..."
"But the angels are calling me,
And I won't keep stalling, you see.
I've lived so long without you.
I can't go on this way, there's nothing left for me to do."
Even as the words left her lips,
She knew they'd be her last.
She let herself fade away,
Become a part of the past.
Now it's her turn to leave,
Her turn to make him feel like he can't breath.
The worst part? He doesn't even know.
He's out there searching for her to ask if he can come home.
Yes, yes she knows he had to go,
But it just scared her,
Being all alone.
Now time will go one without her,
And he'll be missing her more than she will ever know.
Morning breaks,
Sunlight strikes her gentle face.
Unmoving,
He knows this was his doing.
He breaks down and cries,
Wipes tear drops from his eyes,
Stares at her face,
Of life there is no trace.
"Dream pleasant dreams."
He whispers.
"Dream pleasant dreams."
His whole life disapears.
Curled up on the floor.
A tear streamed face mumbles
"I can't take anymore."
She wipes her eyes,
