There's No Eay Way To Say This
She cried quietly while everyone walked past.
It seemed like her entire world had been destroyed.
It was the end at last.
Her trembling lips,
Her shaking hands,
Her too thin hips,
Striving for the image the world demands.
That's what made her trip, stumble, fall.
Forget that life was worth living at all.
She can't get better, can't get well.
But she has her own story to tell.
She's falling apart,
Lost at heart.
Unwilling to change her desperate ways,
Killing herself more everyday.
She's causing herself so much sorrow,
And we don't know if she'll make it as far tomorrow.
We all wish we knew what she was thinking,
But we can't, they won't tell us anything.
The angels speak,
They call her name.
Her body's weak,
But she can't leave,
Without her things would never be the same
The sky would turn a darker grey,
The flowers would all die, rot, decay
The birds would sing only sad songs
Life altogether would seem pointless, too long.
If only she knew,
We're doing everything we can do.
But I'm so afraid it won't be enough.
When all we can do is stick it out and pretend to be tough.
It seemed like her entire world had been destroyed.
